We have a new first lady with her own special style. MIchelle Obama's signature print sheath dresses get lots of buzz (the dress she wore for an appearance on The View was purchased by thousands of women immediately after the show aired); the brilliant colors in her wardrobe are fresh; her pearls are classic but with a contemporary design; and her ability to mix designer style with more affordable choices is applauded. Compare her look to that of Laura Bush (structured and ladylike); Hillary Clinton (executive-perfect); Nancy Reagan (dressed-up and opulent); and, of course, the inimitable Jackie Kennedy (a legend, a fashion icon, and the epitome of exquisite taste). All very different and each very reflective of her own era as First Lady. We can't wait to cast our votes for the Inaugural gown!
